Lu (Grace) Nie
My name is Grace. I began my career as a piano teacher before immigrating to Canada, where I discovered my true passion for early childhood education. I hold both Montessori and Early Childhood Education (ECE) licenses and have over 15 years of hands-on teaching experience working with young children.
In addition to my teaching background, I have more than 10 years of experience as a Centre Director, during which I managed teams of over 50 educators and led the development of several programs, including Social Studies, Montessori-based curriculum, and music concert programs. I also served as Director at Willowbrae Academy (New Westminster location) from 2018 to 2021.
I believe every child has innate gifts, particularly in music and the arts, and that with the right guidance, these abilities can flourish. I integrate music, open-ended art, and social studies into daily activities, encouraging children to learn through play and meaningful interactions with educators. This approach supports the development of creativity, imagination, and confidence.
I strongly believe that each child is a unique individual with their own abilities, interests, and emotional needs. For this reason, I am committed to designing diverse and inclusive programs that support each child’s growth and development.
I am open-minded, patient, and enthusiastic, and my goal is to build a strong, professional team while providing a safe, nurturing, hygienic, and engaging environment where children feel happy, supported, and inspired to learn. I am confident in my ability to create a positive and enriching place for children to grow and thrive.
